Vintage trucks are restored for many different reasons, often related to some aspect of the owner’s past. Sometimes the truck is a nostalgic reminder of their childhood, or of their working career. Such ‘blast from the past’ trucks usually get to have a ‘cushy’ existence, typically only being driven to shows or on club runs.

However, this 1928 Ford Model A utility/pickup doesn’t fit any of those stereotypes. It was restored with the specific goal of driving it across Australia in the 2014 National Variety Bash, where its existence would be anything but cushy. The Bash raises money for disadvantaged and special needs children.
