1924 Albion PE24
3 min read

Some time ago, I undertook a mammoth roadtrip of 1,130 kilometres from my hometown of Goulburn to Broken Hill, as I had been invited to visit the 1924 Albion PE24, owned by Brenton Martin, and view where his restoration was up to.

Brenton is an 80-year-old retired farmer who seems to have no plans of slowing down. He first acquired the PE24 in 2007 as a wreck that his son-in-law had purchased in Adelaide, and transported back to Broken Hill. By 2012, Brenton had completed its first class restoration and debuted it at the 2012 Tour Down Under.

Originally, the Albion arrived as deck cargo on a steamer into Port Adelaid
