The old saying goes, “The third time is the charm” and so it was for this year’s Heritage Truck Display, held on 31st January and 1st February, and hosted by the Longwarry Football Club in Gippsland, Victoria. 

Not that there was anything wrong with the first two shows, it’s just that the event has become bigger each year. The first year, seventy-five old trucks graced the oval but, by Friday this year, almost that amount was already onsite, and the show didn’t start until Saturday! Those who stayed on the grounds on Saturday night could partake in a three course meal, live entertainment, old transport films and plenty of friendly leg-pulling.
