Grandad’s old 1946 Dodge truck has been in our family since it was first purchased in 1952 in Cowra. Through my grandad, as well as my father and uncle, it was used as the farm truck on our property in Cowra until the late 1960s when it broke a crankshaft.

It was then unceremoniously towed to its resting place amongst a stand of trees out in one of the paddocks and there it would stay for more than forty years after a life of carting hay, stock, and bags of wheat.
