In Issue #33, there was a feature on one of the lesser known Mack series seen in Australia – the first generation R700. Leading the feature was a photo of a freshly restored R797RSX, liveried in the original colours of the first owner, Cummins Heavy Haulage, and configured as per its use in 1976.
As Mack models go in the mid 70s, the R797RSX model had the most power and hauling capacity available in the Mack on-highway range. And making this Cummins Mack heavy hauler a standout was the fitment of a pusher axle.
