In the article about Basil Jarman in issues #40 and #41, he mentions Jack Batty. I worked with Jack and many other drivers in the early 1970s/1980s. Names I can remember include Ian Shipp, Niel White, Owen Turvey, and Norm Johnston, as well as subbies Les Underwood and Ernie Cross. Some workshop names I can remember include Bill Booth and Jim Starr. I am in contact with Kevin Love-Web, a driver’s despatcher, as well as subbie, Kevin Schrieber, who had a Rolls-Royce powered Atkinson.
