I refer to your drawing of the NR Mack being driven by Phil Brown. Phil was my father, and to complete the story, his was the first truck into Townsville with food and other important things like beer after the start of the 1947 rail strike in Qld. He would tell the story of that 1st trip, when people came to the footpaths in Townsville and waved and cheered when he arrived, and he went on to do many more trips till the strike finished.
